2 Corgi Naming Tips So You Never Regret Your Choice

Choosing a Corgi name should be fun. But just to make sure you never regret your choice, keep in mind a couple of things:

  1. Don’t choose a name based on the latest popular Corgi
  2. Don’t choose a name you won’t feel confident yelling in the park

Let’s address those in turn.

1. Don’t choose a name based on the latest popular Corgi

While it can be tempting to name your Corgi Cheddar (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) or Ein (Cowboy Bepop), just remember that shows like these will rise and fall in popularity.

Will you still love the ‘name of the moment’ in 8 years’ time when the TV show or film it came from is no longer trendy?

Chances are, you probably will… I mean who doesn’t love the name Cheddar?!

But it’s just something to bear in mind.

2. Don’t choose a name you won’t feel confident yelling in the park

When you’re trying to decide the perfect Corgi, practice shouting it across a park.

Now imagine the park is full of people and your Corgi has decided to (temporarily) lose their hearing.

Are you confident to shout that name out loud over and over again?

If so, then you just might have landed on the perfect Corgi name!

? Over to you

What’s YOUR Corgi’s name?

  1. I have Dutch and Daisy. My sister’s best friend rescued Dutch off a busy street, and I got Daisy when her owner passed away.

    1. What gorgeous names! I absolutely love them. And love how you’ve rescued/given them both a second chance ?
