⭐ My favorite Corgi harness is the Puppia Soft Vest Harness!
Over the last three years, I’ve tried and tested multiple harnesses on Winston.
In this article, I’m going to share 3 of the best Corgi harnesses for you to try in 2024.
I’ll go through the pros and cons of each and share my favorite harness overall.
Let’s jump in!
Best Harness Overall: Puppia Soft Vest Harness
I talked about my love for this Puppia harness in a previous article, so of course it takes the top spot for our favorite Corgi harness.
This is the most durable, secure, and gentle Corgi harness we’ve used to date. Its breathable mesh material makes it warm in winter, cool in summer, and easily washable… great if your corgi is a fan of rolling in poop!
Puppia also offers a variety of different colors and patterns for the more fashion-conscious Corgis out there.
Pros | Cons |
Breathable material makes it great all year round | Sizing can be a little tricky (we went for an L) – make sure you measure properly! |
Lots of colors and styles are available | The rings on the back of the harness click slightly when your Corgi runs |
A large surface area means the harness is gentle on pulling Corgis | Takes a little longer to get on and off than other harnesses |
Easily washed | Gets a little dirtier than other harnesses as there’s more material |
Best Harness For Bigger Corgis: Julius-K9
The Julius-K9 was the first Corgi harness we ever bought. It’s a durable harness that’s super easy to get on and off.
If you have a bigger/stronger Corgi that sometimes pulls on the lead, this harness is a great option. We found it a little too tough on Winston (a smaller, less “chonky” Corgi) and particularly in the early training days when he was less obedient, the straps rubbed against his skin.
Pros | Cons |
Easily adjusted | Some reviews claim that this harness can slip off if not properly fastened |
Great quality and very sturdy | It can be a little rough against a Corgi’s skin (especially if your Corgi has a smaller frame than others) |
Ideal for strong Corgis that pull | More expensive than other options |
Best Harness For Quick Walks Or Toilet Breaks: True Love Harness
This sturdy harness by True Love is a great option for quick walkies or toilet breaks with your Corgi.
One of our favorite features is the handle on the back of the harness. This gives better control, making it easier to grab hold of your Corgi if they try to make a run for it!
Unfortunately, we found this harness a little too firm for long walks with Winston. His underarms got a bit bruised by the straps.
Pros | Cons |
Two attachment points give better control | Firm straps may rub against your Corgi’s skin |
Very durable | Can be a little fiddly to get on and off |
How To Choose The Right Corgi Harness
Choosing the right harness for your Corgi comes down to a few factors, including:
- How big/strong they are
- Whether they pull
- How much they enjoy rolling in fox poop!
The three harnesses reviewed in this article are all great options for Corgis for different reasons. If your Corgi is like mine—a little smaller than other Corgis and sometimes pulls on the lead—try Puppia.
If your Corgi walks beautifully on the leash or is a slightly bigger Corgi, start with Julius-K9.
My favorite Corgi harness
If you’re looking for a soft, secure and durable Corgi harness then look no further than the Puppia Soft Vest Harness. Out of all the harnesses I’ve tried, this one is the best. It’s gentle on my Corgi’s body, washes (and dries!) very easily, and securely fastens with just one buckle and a velcro strap.
